JanBeach of the Year Club 2010
Six years after walking into Bert Boeckmann’s office to cry about how unhappy I was, I was able to bring 3 of my best friends into that same office on our way to our 1st Annual Beach of the Year Club trip.
You see, Bert, who is the owner of Galpin Motors in the San Fernando Valley of CA, called me into his office to ask me why I wanted my husband to quit working for him. I explained to him that with Collin working so many hours, I was really unhappy and wanted him to quit. Bert told me something that changed my life… “Kari. You create your own happiness.”
Shortly after that, I started my own business called www.MomsMakingMoneyFromHome.com , found a fabulous candle that I market online and taught other moms how to do the same. I created my own happiness and also found a way to GET A LIFE.
To celebrate and continue to create my fabulous life, my best friend, Cheryl Hill, and I started the Beach of the Year Club where we take other moms to a different beach each year. This year we traveled to Ventura Beach, Santa Barbara, Pismo Beach and Avila Beach in California. Lori Dawkins and Jessica Sumner joined us on our adventure and we stayed at Jackie Ulmer’s bright and breezy beach house in Ventura.
So not only are we seeing the most amazing beaches each year, we are showing the world that moms don’t have to be boring and frumpy. We are stunning, vibrant women who love life and sharing fun experiences together. We still love our families but we are inspired by the power of friendship and the beach!
